Situated just a few minutes north of Port Askaig, the property is ideally positioned for ferry arrivals and exploring the island's northern distilleries.

For guests staying at 14 Distillery Houses, Port Askaig is the most convenient arrival port, located less than 5 minutes away by car. Port Ellen is approximately 30–40 minutes' drive across the island. Ferry bookings are strongly recommended, particularly during summer and the annual Fèis Ìle whisky festival.
If travelling by car from Glasgow, allow approximately 3 hours to drive to Kennacraig before boarding the ferry.
By Air
Islay Airport is served by scheduled flights from Glasgow, operated by Loganair. Flight time is approximately 40 minutes, making it the fastest way to reach the island. From the airport, 14 Distillery Houses is around a 20-minute drive.
Car hire is available on Islay, and advance booking is recommended during peak season. Taxis can be arranged from both ferry terminals and the airport. For guests arriving without a car, the property provides an excellent base for visiting Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain and Ardnahoe distilleries, as well as exploring the island's spectacular coastline and wildlife.
